Who am I

Well if you have arrived here you probably already know a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Ohio. I am the oldest of children. My brother recently passed away. I grew up primarily on a farm. We had cows and pigs when I was little. I had a horse. I started working for other people when I was . I began work at a canoe rental across the highway from our farm. I have always worked since. My father always put me to work from the time I was little carrying wood feeding animals digging ditches etc. I really enjoy work. When I was I would wake up early and wait for my grandpa to come up to the farm and slop the hogs. I would go out in my pajamas and help him. I helped out local farmers collecting hay in the summer. I would work all day in the hot sun and into the night loading it in barns. I would come home all scratchy from the hay and soak in the tub to relieve my aching muscles. When I was I has putting some hay in a barn for a farmer and jumped off the truck with a h! eavy bale in my hands and landed on a board with nail sticking out of it and it went through the bone below my second big toe. I ended up being in the hospital for weeks because it got infected. the bone deteriorated and they fused my toe bone to my foot bone. It was very painful. I graduated from Xenia High School. I dated a girl for years and thought I would marry her but it didn t work out thank goodness. In high school I was involved in theater. I was in all th musicals and plays. I was pretty bored in high school but really enjoyed college because it was challenging. After high school I attended Wright State University for a year. I then served a year mission for my faith in Jesus Christ. This was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I learned how to care for people in a way I never thought possible. I was able to teach and help people to solve problems. I had leadership opportunities were I was able to lead and teach other missionaries about how to be eff! ective and work smart. I at one time helped lead over missionaries. After my missionary years I went back to school. I was a history psychology accounting and then business major. finally it ended up being Management Information Systems. During college I got married had children and started a business. After college I got my first job with Litton PRC Now Northrup Grumman . I was responsible for maintenance and new development on an MS Access database. Just as I was getting familiar with the application they laid everyone off. I then got a job next door this was at Wright Patterson AFB for an engineering company called Dynamic Controls inc. I learned how to program PIC chips and data acquisition systems. I taught myself a program called LabView a graphical programming language . I used this program and the National Instruments hardware to acquire test data for tests they would run on actuators. When things started t get a little tight at DCI due to budgets I decided to look for another job. I felt that engineering was not really what I wanted t! o do. I wanted to write software applications for business not hardware. I interviewed with a company for a Java programming job. I told them that I had one class but for some reason that didn t seem to matter. They hired me anyway. After about weeks they submitted my resume to the government and the government saw that I had no experience with java they decided to have me do web programming using ASP. I had no idea. I didn t even know what HTML was really. I bought a book read it over the weekend and started coding on Monday. I had great people who helped me. As soon as I got use to ASP they switched things over to ASP.NET. I liked it. I liked it a lot I did not want to write any more ASP. For a more detailed description of my work experiences click here . I have been at my current. job for almost years. I have children array ages . They are wonderful children.
